Lenten Recollection of LCJ Inmates

Last Saturday (March 24), inmates of the Laoag City Jail participated in a recollection facilitated by Mr. Zachary Damo of the Diocesan Commission on Social Action. The Lenten recollection was initiated by the Inmates Welfare and Development Section to prepare the inmates spiritually in the coming Holy Week celebration. The said activity was deemed very helpful to uplift the morale and self-worth of the inmates and imbue in them that they are not alone during these struggling times of their incarceration.

During the activity, Mr. Damo elicited ideas from the inmates and encouraged them to open up and share their experiences for everyone to ponder. Through his presentation, he was able to inspire the inmates and made them feel that no matter what or who they are, the love of God prevails in their lives and that the Lord will never forsake them.
