LC Mayor Approves Budget for a Separate Female Cell

LC Mayor Hon. Michael V. Farinas has already approved the budget for the construction of a separate female cell inside the Laoag City Jail in a recent meeting with the City Jail Warden J/SINSP HERMINIGILDO B RIVERA.

In another news, the City Mayor was apparently impressed with the result of the inspection recently conducted by the BJMP National Headquarters at the jail. In spite of the fact that there were minor findings, Laoag City Jail was able to get an "Outstanding" rating. Warden Rivera took the opportunity to thank the city mayor for his continuous support to the programs and projects of the jail.

It was also during the same meeting that Warden Rivera was able to get the approval of the city mayor for the grant of four (4) units of handheld radios, three (3) units of fire extinguisher, additional barbed wires and cyclone wires to reinforce the overall security of the jail and fiberglass waiting sheds that will be installed along the national road going to the jail.

After the meeting, the warden immediately coordinated with the concerned department heads for the implementation of the requests.
